The black straps are extremely annoying, but I called Windblox and they let me purchase clear ones and sent them to me. They were very polite on the phone, and I like the clear straps much better than the black ones. I definitely recommend the company because their product is very effective. I personally think it has to do with the design of the windscreen, but all around the material and cut is great, too.
